Imagine getting such a great birthday cake that you don’t even want to cut into it! That’s what happened when Dakota of Bothell, Washington received this aquatically colorful creation from Sugar Angel Brenda Nelson for his 10th birthday.

His Mom Doris says that Dakota, who has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, was already having a great week after having just returned home from his Make-A-Wish trip to Florida and that seeing his cake,  “…Made him feel even more special.”

Speaking of special, Dakota’s Mom describes him as a happy and high-spirited boy who loves participating in team sports. Despite receiving his diagnosis just three days after his 9th birthday, Dakota remains as active as possible. He especially loves to dance and sing and is back at it and playing sports in the backyard after completing his first of a three-year treatment plan. Way to go, Dakota!

“We are amazed every day at his bravery and tenacity and his compassion despite all he has been through,” says Doris. “He is truly our little warrior.”
