SYDNEY
“Sydney was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma (a bone cancer found in her right shoulder blade) in March of 2015. After a grueling year of chemotherapy, surgeries and radiation treatments, the cake supplied by Cream of the Cake Bakery in Lakeville, Minnesota was the best way ever to kick off a Cancer free year. We made a big celebration of it by inviting her friends and the Make A Wish team over. They brought dinner and her tickets to Disney World. It was a fabulous evening and a great way to usher in the new Cancer free year. Sydney had the biggest, most sincere smile on her face we had seen in a long time. Thank you Icing Smiles from the depths of our hearts. The positive impact a beautiful cake can have on a kid going through such ickiness is amazing and emotionally healing. She felt so special. Thank you for this experience.”

NOAH
“Our son, Noah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 3. At day 29, he was not responding to chemotherapy like the Oncologist wanted and was moved to the very high risk category. Our treatment plan became much different and much more intense. There are days I look back on it and wonder how we survived. We have been on this journey for 2 years and Noah has been such a warrior. Noah still has a year and a half left of treatment and a lifetime of checkups, but we couldn’t be more grateful for the people we have met along our journey and the family and friends that are behind us. We had an amazing experience! Our cake was beautiful and delicious! Tinker’s cake Shop was absolutely amazing during this process and we can’t thank Icing Smiles enough for making this dream cake happen for our boys.”

AVA
“Ava was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia shortly after her second birthday. Unfortunately over the last 8 years, she has suffered 4 relapses, endured years of chemotherapy, radiation and hospital stays and was placed on hospice care in August of 2016 after her last relapse was confirmed. Not knowing if she would be with us for another Christmas, let alone Birthday, we made a decision to make every day and moment count. Thankfully, Ava was able to celebrate her 10th birthday and because of Icing Smiles and Erin Dent who owns, The Cake Studio, Ava had the most amazing dream cake ever! It was breathtakingly beautiful and delicious as well. It was truly the most memorable birthday Ava has ever celebrated and we are so grateful for Icing Smiles and for Erin who were not only a part of Ava’s special day, but made it all the more wonderful! Thank you for being a blessing in our lives and bringing a smile to Ava’s face! Icing Smiles is a wonderful organization that shines a light in a family’s dark moments. The bakers they work with are exceptional and the cakes are amazing.”

GANNON
“Gannon has CHARGE Syndrome. It affects many of his organs. He lives a very full life despite all of the struggles that comes with his condition. He is tube fed, requires suction to clear his airway, is on continuous oxygen, and receives many treatments and medications throughout the day. Medical appointments and therapies consume many hours for Gannon each week. Gannon lets nothing stop him. He tries to keep up with his brothers at all times and makes friends everywhere he goes. He is thriving at school and is a great student. He wakes up happy every morning even though he is coughing and needs suction. He has such a positive outlook on life. We couldn’t imagine life without this precious guy.”
