Meet the Icing Smiles Team

Tracy’s reason to smile is knowing that those 2 babies that inspired her to bake are now productive members of society and that she found both her passion and a better half that serves alongside her.

Tracy’s expertise is in the field of International Tax, with more than two decades of experience in both the public and private sectors. A licensed CPA with a Master’s degree in Taxation, prior to founding Icing Smiles, her experience in the baking industry was limited to creating cakes for her two children. Little did she know that Icing Smiles would be embraced by the baking community, and she would find herself in the most challenging role of her career…Executive Director.

Chelsea’s reasons to smile are her husband Vernon, rainbow daughter Makenzie, and son Marshall. Chelsea continues to find joy in growing her commitment to Icing Smiles.

Chelsea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Salisbury University. Additionally, she obtained a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from Johnson and Wales University, inspired by her grandmothers’ cake decorating skills.

In 2012, Chelsea became a Sugar Angel at Icing Smiles, driven by her passion for service and her love of pastry. Little did she know that she would come to understand the organization from the receiving end.

Chelsea’s journey took a turn when her first child, Vincent, was born in 2016 with several congenital heart defects and passed away at 10 weeks old. In Vincent’s memory, Chelsea dedicates her service to Icing Smiles. Currently serving as the Marketing Coordinator, Chelsea is committed to expanding the organization and enhancing its capacity to serve others.

Cindy is grateful to be part of an organization that brings sweet smiles to families that are on devastating journeys with their children.

Prior to spreading cheer at Icing Smiles, Cindy was a Technical Project Manager managing incentive programs for a national communications organization, as well as working with other national accounts.

As an encore opportunity to volunteer, Cindy has been with Icing Smiles since 2013 and remains in the technical space. Her involvement began on the Tech Team, and she now serves as our Technology Coordinator. In her spare time, Cindy loves to travel, play golf, and spend time with her family.

The joyful smiling faces of our Icing Smiles kiddos are Olivia’s reason for smiling. Seeing those reactions make all the work worth it.

Olivia has a Master’s degree in Food Safety and is a mother of two adorable boys. Although not currently a Sugar Angel with Icing Smiles, she loves sweets and bakes as a hobby.

Olivia joined Icing Smiles in 2019 as a State Coordinator, working to connect families with bakers. She currently serves as our Human Resources Coordinator.

CJ’s reasons for smiling include meeting new people and lifting the spirits of the fallen. He is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Icing Smiles’ mission.

After serving 34 years in our Nation’s Navy, CJ is an Executive Leader at a large university affiliated research center. Today, CJ handles all business and compliance components of Icing Smiles and is dedicated to bringing smiles to our families.

Lauren’s reasons to smile include her 5 children and the smiling faces of our Icing Smiles families when they receive their cakes.

Lauren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and has a multitude of experience, including working with children at her local children’s hospital and with children and families in foster care.

In 2015, Lauren came across Icing Smiles while sitting in a hospital room with her oldest child. She loved the mission of Icing Smiles and later that year, got to witness her son smile because of a cake he received from Icing Smiles. In 2018, Lauren joined Icing Smiles as an admin volunteer, starting as a state scheduler in her home state of Florida. Today, Lauren is an expert of the operations of Icing Smiles and serves as our Operations Manager.

Shellie can’t help but smile when a family learns they’ll receive the cake of their dreams through Icing Smiles. Having a brother with a critical illness, she understands firsthand how meaningful these moments of joy can be, and it fuels her passion to raise awareness of our mission. In retirement, she’s grateful to draw from her long career in marketing and bakery ownership to lead and empower our team of Local Outreach Ambassadors in sharing the sweetness of Icing Smiles with their communities nationwide.

Archita’s reason to smile is the opportunity to combine her two loves: baking and giving back. She joined Icing Smiles in 2024 and recently delivered her first cake for a child. Growing up in India, she was her family’s designated birthday-cake baker, armed with exactly one recipe. Archita has since expanded her repertoire of recipes, much to the delight of her son, Arjun. She holds a Master of Commerce from Osmania University and an MBA in Marketing from Pace University. A certified Project Management Professional, her favorite projects revolve around cake decorating and pen-and-ink sketching.
