Birthday Brothers!

Isaiah has a severe form of Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). OI, sometimes known as Brittle Bone Disease, is a rare collagen disorder that affects many parts of the body, commonly known for how it causes bones to fracture easily. Isaiah has fractures often and has undergone many surgeries over the course of his life, spending a lot of time in the hospital. 

Isaiah’s brother Jacob has been a strong and patient supporter along Isaiah’s journey. He has been on many trips to the children’s hospital with Isaiah, which is two hours from home. He has learned to be gentle with his brother, forming a strong bond of friendship between the two. 

Isaiah and his brother Jacob’s birthdays are four days apart. They celebrated their 6th and 3rd birthdays, respectively, with an amazingly detailed Disney’s Polynesian Resort themed cake baked by Sugar Angel Rachel. It was a celebration of the boys, family, and friends, and brought back many wonderful memories from their vacation to Disney World.
