Sammi lives with chronic, complex illness including a geneitc syndrome she shares with two of her siblings. In 2009 she developed a life threatening bone marrow disorder and received a life saving bone marrow transplant. She has spent 3 months in the hospital. Her transplant was damaged by a life threatening viral infection and is now in jeopardy with an uncertain future. (paraphrased from her mom's e-mail)
