When I contacted Icing Smiles, a burden was lifted from my heart. I was worried how we were going to let Kole be a "typical" kiddo on his birthday and in one email my problems were solved.
About Us
Icing Smiles is a nonprofit organization that provides custom celebration cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. We understand that the simple things, like a cake, are luxuries to a family battling illness. Our goal is to create a custom cake for the ill child, or their sibling, that provides a temporary escape from worry and creates a positive memory during a difficult time.
On January 27, 2010 we delivered our first cake to Violet, a beautiful 6-year-old battling brain cancer. We had one "Sugar Angel" volunteer and long-term dreams that one day we would be able to extend our reach to serve any deserving child worldwide.
Just six months later, a feature in The Pink Cake Box’s blog propelled us forward to national exposure and offers from hundreds of volunteers. The outpouring of support from our local communities and the baking industry enables us to spread Smiles throughout the world. The passion for the cause continues to grow, as shown by the numbers below:
